The above company and henceforth Data Controller expressly and responsibly declares that, having taken cognizance of the regulatory framework of the aforementioned General Regulation and recognizing the obligations arising from it, it has made every possible effort to comply with the current regulatory and legislative framework, especially with regard to the general protection of the individual and especially of his personal data that are subject to processing in the context and under the conditions set out below. Therefore, this statement is intended to inform you about the processing, to which your personal data is submitted in the context of making purchases from the online store of the Controller, as well as your Rights according to GDPR and what it specifically provides.
1) What personal data do we collect about you and from which sources
The Data Controller is active in the trade of olive products by operating an online store at this address (https://argogreece.com/). As part of its activity, it processes your personal data that it collects directly from you through its above website in the following ways:
- directly from your devices in the event of your navigation on the website-online store of the Data Controller,
- directly from you, when you share your personal data with us electronically, by completing the corresponding form, for making purchases through our online store,
- directly from you, when you share your personal data and especially contact details with us electronically, by filling in the respective forms, in order to contact you, but also to subscribe to our newsletter.
In particular, we collect and process:
- for the users-visitors of our website, during their navigation on it and through their internet browser, information about their connection, such as the IP address of their device and information about the browser used, the date and time of their visit, etc.. The specific information is stored for as long as is absolutely necessary, in order to ensure the security of our network, information and services from random events and illegal or malicious actions. It is noted that it is not possible for us to draw a direct conclusion regarding the identity of each user- visitor of our website based on the aforementioned information.
- ii) for those who subscribe to our website newsletter or fill out the contact form available on it, we additionally collect:
- identity information (name, surname)
- contact information (e-mail)
- for those who wish to cooperate with us and therefore complete the corresponding contact form available on our website, we collect:
- identity information (name, surname)
- contact information (e-mail)
- financial information (personal tax identification number)
- for the customers of our online store, we collect the following data that they share with us electronically, when making purchases:
- identity information (name, surname)
- contact information (phone number, e-mail)
- financial information (personal tax identification number)
- residential details (Country, City, Postal Code, full Address)
We also collect and process your personal data and information we collect through cookies. More information about cookies is detailed in the section no. 6 of this declaration. Furthermore, we have drawn up and adhere to a specific cookies policy, which you can read here.
We note that we will make every effort to ensure that your personal data is accurate and up-to- date. Especially for your data for which it is not possible for us to know that they have changed, it is your obligation to inform us promptly of any possible change. It is confirmed that the processing is reasonably limited each time only to the personal data that are necessary for the respective purpose of the processing, as specified in detail below.
2)Legal bases and purposes for processing
- We process your personal data in order to fulfill our obligations arising from the contract between us. Therefore, the legal basis for processing the personal data of our company’s customers is the sales contract between us regarding the purchase of products from our online store. Therefore, the processing of your data is based on the provision of GDPR’s article 6 par. 1 b. In particular, we process your personal data to execute the contract between us, namely in order to prepare, send and generally process your order, issue the legal tax documents, etc.. Under the above legal basis, we will also process your personal data, in order to contact you for issues related to the execution of the contract between us and the processing of your order, such as indicatively in order to inform you of its successful registration, its completion stage, the day of delivery and shipping details etc..
- We also process the personal data of our customers to comply with our legal obligations under national law, such as e.g. tax obligations of the Responsible Processing company (submission of income tax returns, VAT returns, etc.).
- We also process personal data of visitors of our website, as well as customers of our business under the legal basis of their prior consent, i.e. under the legal basis of article 6 par. 1a of the GDPR. In particular, we use Cookies, as well as the personal data we collect through them, only based on your consent. More information about cookies is detailed in the section no. 6 of this declaration. Furthermore, we have drawn up and adhere to a specific cookies policy which you can read here. In addition, we will also process your contact information for purposes related to promotional actions, such as e.g. the sending of informative emails regarding sale offers in our online store, in case you subscribe to our newsletter, but also to contact you in case you fill in the above contact forms (prospective customer or partner), only after we have previously received your specific consent. After that, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the above cases is the consent of article 6 par. 1 item. a of the GDPR, i.e. we have previously obtained your specific consent for the implementation of each of these actions. It is noted, that the above processing operations will be carried out exclusively and only after receiving your consent and
otherwise the processing will be limited to the above purposes, without the execution of the contract between us being affected at all by your possible refusal. We also note that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time for each processing (cookies, newsletter, etc.).
- Finally, we also process personal data, both of users-visitors of our website, and of our customers, and under the legal basis of pursuing our legitimate interests, i.e. under the legal basis of article 6 par. 1f of the GDPR. In particular, the processing of your IP address is carried out under the aforementioned legal basis of our legitimate interest, which consists in ensuring a smooth connection, the comfortable use of our services, the evaluation of the security and stability of our system. We will also process your personal data under the abovementioned legal basis for purposes related to fraud prevention, such as e.g. the case of using the information we collect from you in the context of receiving an order to check whether there is a case of simultaneous orders of goods to the same address using different customer accounts. Finally, under the same legal basis, we will also process personal data of our customers in case of legal disputes between us for the purpose of defending our legal rights, establishing, exercising and pursuing our legal claims.
Therefore, we undertake that our company, as the Data Controller will carry out the processing in accordance with the respective security and data protection policies, will apply the appropriate technical and organizational measures and will adapt to the applicable legislation and the decisions of the competent Authorities.
Access to your personal data and disclosure to third parties
Access to the company’s server, where the electronic file containing your personal data is kept, is available only to the owners of the company and no unauthorized third party. Particularly, in order to comply with our legal obligations from national tax and other provisions, we transfer your personal data to the persons who will perform accounting tasks on our behalf. Furthermore, for reasons related to the fulfillment of the contract between us, we will transfer your personal data, such as indicatively your name, address, telephone number, etc. to partner distribution and courier companies, which will undertake on our behalf the transport and delivery of your orders. Furthermore, in order to pursue our legitimate interests and in particular to ensure the orderly operation of the business and its website-online store, it is possible that we grant access to the data we hold to the persons who undertake its technical support and maintenance. All of the above third parties process your personal data exclusively on our behalf. Finally, we may share your personal data with Public Authorities, Services and Organizations, such as e.g. the Tax Authorities, under the legal basis of compliance with our legal obligations under national law.
Where we store your data and how we protect them
We store your personal data electronically and in particular on the company’s server, to which, as noted above, only its owners have access and, as the case may be, only the people who have undertaken the technical support of the website-online store. We also note that we have established and adhere to organizational and technical measures to protect the above electronic file and your personal data stored in our server. Specifically, among other measures, we have established and implement a specific access rights policy regarding our company’s server, while we use a strong password, that we change regularly, to access it. We have also taken other measures, which we consider reasonable and appropriate, including the use of the https protocol and public key encryption on the website that hosts our online store.
Cookies
As mentioned above, we use cookies in our website, in order to improve the services provided by us, but also to improve the individual experience of the user of our website. Cookies are small text
files that are transferred to the hard drive of the PC through the browsers you use. Data retention policy
We keep your personal data for as long as the contract between us lasts and in particular for as long as is required for its execution and management, but also as long as it is necessary to comply with our tax or other legal obligations from the relevant national provisions. Furthermore, in the event that legal disputes arise between us, the retention time of your data which is necessary for the establishment, exercise and in general judicial pursuit of a claim or other legal right of ours, is extended until the issuance of an irrevocable court decision, or in the case of claims until their statute of limitations. In any other case, after the end of the above-mentioned period and if our cooperation is terminated, the Data Controller undertakes that it has established and is able to implement an effective procedure for their immediate and definitive deletion of your personal data. Furthermore, with regard to the information we collect about our prospective partners or customers from the respective contact forms, in the event of no contract being concluded between us, we retain said information for a maximum period of 6 months. Finally, regarding the information we collect about you during your visit to our website and through cookies, most of them are automatically deleted after you end your browsing and achieve the aforementioned purposes. In general, the retention time of the specific information is based on the criterion of necessity, while the maximum retention period for this type of data is six months.
Your Rights
According to the General EU Regulation 2016/679 you have the following Rights as Data Subjects:
- The right to be informed: The right to know which of your data is being processed, the purposes of this processing, the categories of data we process and any recipients thereof.
- The right of access: according to Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right to be informed about whether your data is being processed and to receive a copy of your personal data held by the Controller.
- the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified and incomplete personal data completed (Art. 16 GDPR)
- The right to restriction: The right according to article 18 of the GDPR to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under specific conditions and in any case if there are no reasons of public interest or legal claim of the Controller against you.
- The right to object to the processing: The right according to Article 21 of the GDPR to object to the processing of your data at any time, unless the Processor proves that it must continue the
processing for an important reason, or if the processing is necessary for the establishment and exercise of his legal claims against you.
- The right to erasure – Right to be forgotten: The right according to Article 17 of the GDPR to request the erasure of your personal data, when the legal basis and purpose of their processing ceases to exist
- The right to portability: The right to request that your data be sent electronically (provided it is held in electronic form) to another data Controller.
How to exercise your Rights – Filing a complaint
You can exercise your Rights by contacting the Data Controller using the means of communication set out herein. The Data Controller has the obligation to respond to your requests within a period of one (1) month. In case of refusal or unjustified delay in answering or satisfying your requests, you have the right to file a complaint with the competent authorities.

Legal basis
The installation and use of “cookies” is regulated in principle by the provision of article 4 par. 5 of Law 3471/2006, by which Directive 2002/58/EC was incorporated into the Greek legal order.
